It has been so important to me to spread awareness for my movement “Love the Skin You’re In” which aims to inspire not only young people, but everyone to promote acceptance and respect for those with all different backgrounds and socio-economic statuses. Serving others is something I’ve always loved doing, and have always found it such a privilege to do so. Inspired by personal experiences I had as a young girl, I aim to spread awareness on how dire homelessness and youth homelessness is becoming in California. According to LAHSA's 2022 count, it was revealed that there are 41,980 unhoused people in the city of Los Angeles, up 1.7% from 2020. In Los Angeles County, there were 69,144 unhoused people, an increase of 4.1%. I’ve always believed it has been my duty to help wherever I can which is why one of my favorite places to serve since 2019 is We Feed the Hungry, which is a non-profit that provides food, toiletries, clothing, and encouragement to those living in the Skid Row Community.
